PISANG GORENG
RECIPE
- Flour -- 1/2 cup
- Rice flour -- 1/4 cup
- Baking powder -- 1 teaspoons
- Salt -- 1/4 teaspoon
- Water -- 1 cup
- Egg, beaten -- 1
- Oil for deep frying
- Ripe bananas,peeled and cut in two pieces -- 6
- Mix the flour, rice flour, baking powder and salt well in a bowl. Beat the water and egg into the flour mixture until batter is smooth. Set batter aside to rest for anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour.
- Heat the oil in a deep skillet or deep fryer to between 350° and 375°. Working in batches, using a fork to dip pieces of banana in batter to cover. Let any excess batter drip off and drop in the hot oil to deep fry, turning until well browned on all sides.
- Drain on paper towels and serve warm.
INDONESIAN MIE GORENG SAMBAL KECAP
RECIPE
150 grams egg noodles, or 250 grams fresh egg noodles
3 garlic cloves
2 candlenuts
1/2 tablespoon white pepper
100 grams chicken breast, cut into cubes
100 grams shrimp,
50 grams cabbage, cut thinly
100 grams bean sprouts
3 stalks spring onion, chopped
1 stalks Chinese celery, chopped, more for garnishing
4 tablespoons Indonesian sweet soy sauce
150 milliliters chicken stock
If using dried noodles, prepare noodles as direction but reduce the time called for by half. Grind garlic, candlenuts and pepper using mortar and pestle, or electric grinder, to smooth paste. Heat cooking oil in a wok. Stir-fry spice paste till fragrant over medium heat for 30 seconds or less.
Toss in chicken and prawns. Cook quickly by stirring using a spatula. Add sweet soy sauce. Mix well.
Pour chicken stock in the wok. Toss in cabbage. Reduce heat slightly and let boil, about 2-3 minutes.
When the liquid slightly reduced, add the noodles. Increase the heat to medium-high and cook the noodles and sauce until desired consistency. For dry noodles, cook longer. For wet noodles, cook briefly.
Add bean sprouts and chopped greens. Mix well. Serve the Mie Goreng warm. Sprinkle some shallot flakes and chopped celery on top for garnish on individual plates.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 eggs, beaten
1 courgette, chopped
1 carrot, chopped
8 spring onions, sliced
1 clove garlic, crushed
300g cooked rice
250g cooked prawns
2 tablespoons dark soy sauce
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
1 teaspoon sweet chilli sauce
2 tablespoons fresh chives, chopped
1. Heat half of the oil in a wok over medium heat. Swirl the beaten egg into the wok so that it coats the surface. Flip the egg after 30 seconds, and cook for an additional 20 seconds on the other side. Remove the egg from the pan and, when cool enough to handle, roll up on a cutting board. Slice the rolled egg to make thin strips and set aside.
2. Heat the remaining oil in the wok over medium-high heat. When hot, add the courgette, carrot and spring onions. Stir fry for three minutes. Add the garlic, rice, prawns, soy sauce, ketchup, sugar, sesame oil and chilli sauce; stir thoroughly.
3. Serve immediately, topped with the egg strips and chopped chive.

APEM for pancake day
Ingredients:
400 ml coconut milk (200 ml thick coconut milk + 200 ml water)
2 pieces of pandan leaves and then squeeze the belt.
200 gr flour
100 gr rice flour
½ tsp instant yeast
100 grams sugar
2 eggs in beaten
½ teaspoon salt
100 gr grated coconut
pandan paste to taste.
How to Make:
Boil coconut milk and pandan to boiling and let cool.
Combine flour, rice flour, instant yeast, sugar, stir and then enter the egg mix, as he poured milk gradually, stirring until smooth (if I wear a low-speed mixer). Finally enter the salt and grated coconut mix well.
Let stand for about 45 minutes. Preheat cookie cutter mud in topical oil, then pour the batter, cover and cook until done.

KECAP MANIS (SWEET SOY SAUCE)
The most important food ingredient in Java.. taste like toffee but u can put in any dish J, noodles.. yes u can.. pork yup.. deffo.. beef dish perfect.. any dish.. even salads
One of recipes from BBC good food, Indonesian fried rice with mackerel can said that recipe is Indonesian because using soy sauce and I am sure that was sweet soy sauce, so if you want to make Indonesian food, add sweet soy sauce (Kecap Manis) into any dish that you make.
And if you crazy enough .. you can add into pasta dish lol
